Modifying REGISTRY settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of REGISTRY settings can be solved. Modifications of these settings are at your own risk. If you are trying to uninstall any Antivirus product, it is best to go to the manufacturer of the antivirus and download their uninstall tool. Just uninstalling these types of programs will not always remove all entries from the registry.
Today I will show you how o hack the trial of any program to remove its trial. I'm using Visual basic 2008 Express edition. First, go to 'Start' from the task bar, then go to 'Run', and type in: regedit (Note: some of you may have disabled the registry editor application. I don't know how to enable it) Now go to the folder named (HKEYLOCALMACHINE), then go to Microsoft (If you want to hack another program, go to the name of the company that made yorur program), then go to VBExpress, and delete the folder named (Registration) ONLY!! And NOW YOU REMOVED THE TRIAL!! IF ANYBODY WANTS NOTEPAD PLUS, GO TO THIS LINK: plus.exe.
Normally there are two types of restrictions for shareware. The first one is the demo version with limited or crippled functionality that doesn’t have an expiry date and another type is the fully functional trial version that expires after a certain period of time. The amount of days given to try are normally around 30 days but it could be shorter or longer depending on the author of the software. In the earlier days, you can easily run the expired software by simply backdating the date on your Windows operating system but some software has got smarter to detect this and instantly ends the trial period. You might think to yourself, how does the shareware knows how many days left in the trial period?
Most of the time these commercial and freeware protectors drop some information somewhere deep inside your computer after installation so they know when it was installed and then comparing with the official current time pulled from the Internet. It is possible to find the location that records that information by using including third party uninstaller software such as Revo Uninstaller but it can be tedious and frustrating work. Here’s a few simpler ways on how you can extend trial periods of software using various different methods. NirSoft RunAsDate As the name might suggest, RunAsDate performs a trick on the trial software that has expired by injecting the time and date you specify into its process. This has a similar effect to manually setting your system clock to a different time and date, but in this instance your real clock remains unchanged. RunAsDate can also have multiple instances of its program running at once, and each one can have a separate date, all different to the real one.
As a simple example, if you’re using the popular archiver WinZip and its 30 day trial period has expired, it won’t let you use the program anymore, and you either have to purchase a license or uninstall it. Using RunAsDate, you can set the date back to be within the trial period making WinZip usable again.
The image below is WinZip after the 30 day trial has passed, note the “Use Evaluation Version” is now grayed out. If you now load up RunAsDate, all you have to do is browse for the application to use the program on, in this case “C: Program Files WinZip WINZIP32.EXE”, then choose a date and time from the pop-out calender to before the trial period expired. Now simply press the Run button.
Remove Application From Registry
RunAsDate has a few other options such as allow arguments to be applied to the executable, and also a useful option to create a desktop shortcut which will automatically launch the application with the configuration options you’ve supplied in the window. The Immediate Mode check box can be used to inject the date/time earlier in the process, but is known to cause crashes on some programs, especially those using.NET. If you run WinZip after entering the right date and time numbers and press Run or launch it via a shortcut, you’ll notice it no longer says expired and the Evaluation button is clickable again. Although time and date altering isn’t going to work on all trial software that has an expiry, it is a very quick and easy thing to try out first before turning to more advanced methods.
Trial-Reset 4.0 This is the final version released in 2010 by “The Boss”, and is able to scan and remove 45 types of commercial and freeware protections including some software that uses custom protectors such as Reflexive, Namo, ABBYY, and etc. In fact if you know the registry location of where the trial information are recorded for a shareware program, you can create your own text file and save it in the Lists folder.
Do note that Trial-Reset does not modify the shareware in anyway. It simply cleans the registry keys generated by the protectors which are normally not removed even after uninstalling the software. This is how a lot of shareware knows you have no trial period left, even if you uninstall and re-install the program again. Trial-Reset is very easy to use. To start scanning, simply click on the All located at the bottom left. The scanning will take a while since some of the methods require scanning the hard drive. The right pane will show all the detected keys that are used by any shareware titles.
You can backup, view or delete the keys, add to protect or auto cleaning list from the right click context menu. If you have a lot of shareware installed, there will be quite a number of results and you will need to do a trial and error to find the key that is associated with the software that you want to reset the trial period.
After evaluating trial programs, if it is installed again, the program somehow identified that it has been intalled before. This means that it has left behind some tracks before. How to clear all these values so that it would not identify it has been installed before?
The reason i need this is that some trial. After evaluating trial programs, if it is installed again, the program somehow identified that it has been intalled before. This means that it has left behind some tracks before. How to clear all these values so that it would not identify it has been installed before? The reason i need this is that some trial programs give too limited time to evaluate, and sometimes, before we actually get sometime to paly around with the program, the period would be over. Best Answer: What you need is software which takes a snapshot of your registry and key directory locations before and after installlation. Then you need to do a compare (using the special software) of all registry entries and files which have been added or amended.
Put them back to how they were before, and hey presto you've removed all traces. Unless you do this it's like a needle in a haystack. I both write software which offers limited trials and do a bit of hacking. The above method is the only way to detect all the changes and additions. Caution: do not amend or delete registry entries or system files you are unsure about - doing so will cause your OS to fail. The software I write combines registry values with system registry values - so if you just delete the registry entries you will screw up your system. These trial are for a reason.
If you want an extension - just ask - many software vendors will grant an extension to a trial licence. Frank H has got to be kidding - You will NOT find a registry key called 'ABC Software' with an entry: 'number of days until trial ends = 20'. The people who write this software kind of know these tricks - most of them are the biggest hackers. Click on START and choose RUN Give in REGEDIT From now on you have to be very carefully what you do because you could end up in killing your computer(and I am serious now) Press the F3 key and a window will pop up asking you what you are looking for. Give in the keyword(e.g. The company name, the software name) and make sure the three boxes(Keys, Values, Data) are ticked. Now press enter.
The search will search through the registry and stop every time it find something matching to your keyword. Now you have to make sure that what you have there in front of you is what you want to delete by checking it's location and folder. This information is most of all times displayed as well.
If you are not 100% certain just leave it. If you don't have any other software from this manufacturer or with this name delete it by pressing the DELETE key. When your done with this single key press F3 again to continue searching the registry and repeat the previous steps. Remember you have to be 100% sure that you know what you delete as you PC could really be useless if you make any mistakes. If you are not sure just leave it. Tell us some more.

Installing an application is a complex process that installs files and information in multiple places in the computer's operating system. As a couple examples:.dll files are often installed into folders other than the program folder. There are registry entries made by some installations that will keep windows from successfully booting into normal mode, if the expected files are not found. Deletion is an incomplete process at best, and can break your operating system at worst.
